There are two types of sunscreens: chemical and mineral. Mineral sunscreens are considered safer than chemical ones, which often contain oxybenzone, a hormone disruptor that harms coral reefs when washed into the ocean. Mineral sunscreens use zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as active ingredients. Zinc oxide effectively protects against both UVA and UVB rays, while titanium dioxide is strong against UVB rays but less effective against UVA. Therefore, we offer mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide as the active ingredient.

Our sunscreen is SPF 20 according to recipe standards however I do not have access to lab testing at this time.
